Legally Responsible Individual – A person who has a legal duty under state law to care for another person. This refers to a spouse of an adult or a parent, step-parent, or legal guardian of a minor child.
LRI attendants can only work up to 40 hours a week per Medicaid member and this disqualifies the member from receiving Respite hours.
