Adult Protective Services (APS) is a program run by the Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services and administered through local Departments of Social Services (VDSS). It investigates and responds to reports of abuse, neglect, and exploitation involving adults who are:
- 60 years and older, or
- 18+ with an incapacitating condition (mental or physical)
